De Blues Night 2021 wordt geopend in Schouwburg Hengelo door de Britse Blues band Catfish. De band rond de charismatische frontman Matt Long timmert flink aan de weg in de internationale blues scene.

In de voorverkoop kost een passe-partout voor de Blues Night € 10,00, aan de deur € 12,50. Voor dit concert zijn alleen staanplaatsen beschikbaar. De entreeprijs is inclusief garderobe en exclusief drankje.

Blues Matters Magazine omschrijft de band Catfish als “one of the finest live bands in Britain today. The quality of musicianship is outstanding and in Matt Long, they have one of the greatest young guitarists on the scene today…”

De band heeft al meerdere Britse Blues Awards op zak en won in 2020 opnieuw Blues Awards in de categorieën ‘Band of the Year’ en ‘Instrumentalist of the Year’ (door frontman Matt Long). Daarnaast waren ze ook nog genomineerd voor ‘Album of the Year’ (voor het album ‘Burning Bridges’).
