‘Highway Highway’ van Micke Bjorklof & Blue Strip, afkomstig van het half juni te verschijnen album ‘Colors Of Jealousy’. Laatstgenoemde zou al in 2021 zijn uitgebracht i.v.m. het 30-jarig bestaan van de band maar covid stak daar een stokje voor.
Een paar woorden van Micke Bjorklof over de track:
“Highway Highway” is classic blues rocker led by Billy Gibbons influenced riff with layered guitars and wailing Hammond organ backed up with female background singers. It´s about kind of loneliness you can feel on the road when touring even though you´re surrounded by people, “the lonesome highway wail”.
On the other hand, about those conflicting feelings and compulsive need to get on the road, even at the expense of a relationship. From album “Colors Of Jealousy” release June 16th 2023
