“New York Junk are the unvarnished essence of downtown New York City rock’n’roll.” -SUGARBUZZ

New York Junk’s “Doing Time in New York City” was chosen as the #1 Record Of The Year by Joe Whyte at Vive le Rock and Gus Ironside at Louder Than War.

Max’s Kansas City and CBGBs alumni Joe Sztabnik of New York Junk wrote the original version of “Poison Heart” with Dee Dee Ramone.

As a founding member of The ‘B’ Girls, bassist Cynthia Ross toured with The Clash, The Ramones, The Dead Boys and Blondie and also sang back-up on Stiv Bators’ “Disconnected” and Blondie’s “Auto American.

Drummer Gary Barnett completes the trio and adds the secret sauce to New York Junk’s signature sound. Gary played in Joe’s first band Zabnik, and their premiere gig was a spot on CBGB’s 1975 Christmas Festival opening for Johnny Thunder’s Heartbreakers.
